My friend Levi and I went fishing about a week ago at Trout lake and instead of catching a fish, we caught a two-foot water snake (Northern Water Snake).
I saw the snake while trying to catch a baby bass. I didn’t plan on catching it until Levi threw himself into the water after the snake, causing it to swim into the muck. We got up to our chests in water searching for it, I saw it several times and actually dove under the mucky cold water after it! Finally I grabbed it (I caught it, but Levi got bit).
