Yesterday, Mae and I went hiking on one of our local trails, Morgan creek. We found a petite creek with a minuscule water fall and a ton of enormous stones and one huge salamander lurking under the water fall (at the time I did not know that). So the first thing I did was start flipping stones, I found a tiny salamander that I did not bother to catch! So I just kept flipping and flipping, I found a few more little ones but did not catch them because Mae would drag me home. I was going for the big ones, five inches or more! Finally I found a huge salamander, I saw its head and screamed, “Holy cow!” It looked to be the second biggest salamander I ever caught! I really wanted to show Mom so Mae ran back to get mom while I dipped him in the stream every few seconds. Finally Mom and Mae got back and we took a few pictures and a video of the salamander, it turned out to be my second biggest salamander ever! Nothing can beat a hellbender (11 to 29 in), other than a huge greater siren (20 to 37.5 in), a two toed amphiuma (18 to 46 in), a Chinese salamander (up to 6 ft.), and a Japanese salamander (up to 5 ft.), these are all that I know about so far!
